Hydro excavation

Pressure water and vacuum. Dig around live services without touching them.

Hydro excavation uses high-pressure water to loosen the ground and a vacuum to lift the slurry straight into the tank. It is the safest way to dig where power, gas, water, comms or sewer lines are known or suspected, and it leaves a clean hole with no spoil on the road.

Pothole drilling

Precise holes for posts, piers, poles and test pits.

Neat, exact holes where you need them: fence and sign posts, bollards, light poles, piers, soil test pits and sampling. Vacuum excavation keeps the hole clean and the surrounding ground undisturbed.

Non-destructive digging and vacuum work on site, inducted and ready.

Hydro excavation, vacuum loading and civil support for mine sites, quarries, workshops and industrial plants across the Bowen Basin. Potholing around underground services before contractors trench, cleaning sumps and drains around wash plants, exposing cables and pipework, and general vac truck support for shutdowns and projects.

What is hydro excavation and why use it?

Hydro excavation breaks the ground with high-pressure water and lifts the slurry with a vacuum. Unlike a bucket, it cannot cut a cable or crack a pipe, so it is the standard way to dig where underground services are known or suspected. It also leaves a clean, exact hole with no spoil pile.

How much does hydro excavation cost?

Vac truck work is usually charged by the hour with a minimum call-out, plus travel outside the Blackwater area and disposal where slurry has to be carted away. Send us the job details and a photo or two and we will give you a straight price.

Do you have Before You Dig Australia plans checked?

Yes. We check the Before You Dig Australia (DBYD) plans for every job that involves digging, and we ask you to send us any plans you already hold for the site.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Blackwater and work across the Central Highlands and the Bowen Basin: Emerald, Bluff, Comet, Dingo, Duaringa, Capella, Tieri, Middlemount, Dysart and Moranbah are all regular runs. Rockhampton, Gladstone and further afield by arrangement.

Can you work on mine sites?

Yes. We handle inductions, SWMS, JSAs and site paperwork before we arrive, and we can supply our capability statement, plant details and certificates of currency for supplier registration.

What happens to the slurry and waste?

It goes into the sealed tank on the truck and is tipped at an approved disposal point, or on site if you have a suitable location and it is allowed.

Do you do after-hours or urgent jobs?
